I want to run 17x8 with the fattest rubber possible. Belltech built a 96 Sonoma years back that had a 5 inch drop all the way around with 17x8 and 275/40/17. I don't know the back spacing so any help would be nice. Also would 18x8 run the same backspacing if not what it be.

front
18x7 4 inch bs 225 40 18 no probs
17x7 4 inch bs 225 45 17 no probs

17x8 4.5 inch backspacing. 245 45 17 no probs

in front this will work with a 4 inch drop if you have a 5 inch drop
you have to run 7s to be safe. so 18x7 with 4 inch bs or 17x7 with 4 inch bs

now rear
17x9.5 275 40 17 5.5 bs
17x9.5 285 40 17 5.5 bs

18x9.5 275 35 18 5.5 bs
18x9.5 285 40 17 5.5 bs
18x9.5 5.35 bs 295 35 18

currently i have 15x8 with 4.5 bs (around) and 295 50 15 and no rubbing at all

if i was you and you drive the truck everyday go with 245 45 17 front and 285 40 18 rear. that size tire is about the same height as stock so you will have no warranty issues

4.5??

i have a 92 with 3 inch drop all around and theres no way i can run 4 or 4.5 BS. I have 15X7 with 3.75 BS and had to use 1/8 spacers in the front to keep from knocking wheel weights off all the time. Do i need to notch the a arms? Why can i not run a 4 or 4.5 BS?? The trucks running gear is all the same right?:bash:
