Bcm is body control module, works for body.
ecm is engine control module, works for engine. body module works fine on it's own, a cheap service manual with wiring diagram should cover any important hook ups.

Really?
The BCM works fine w/o the PCM if you don't need the wires from the compute that carry all the Class 2 Serial Data.
That Data is only important if you want silly little things like Speedometer, Temperature Gauge, Gas Gauge, ABS, Cruise Control, etc. Nothing critical.
We have beat the pollution and criminal aspect of putting a carb on a 99 to death recently, so I hope we don't go there again.

Better buy a service manual and get to studying, less you want a hunk of metal and plastic that used to be an operational vehicle in your possession.
