Are they any good? I can get one cheap from my friend and I was curious if they're worth it?

just installed mine. Had a little trouble but it was my fault.
Well worth it. Look forward to installing my corvette servo as well in conjunction with the kit

I installed one on my 1st Gen and used the heavy duty rv
option. I'm glad I did. To be honest I don't really care for
the 1st to 2nd shift as it's pretty stout and most always
puts my head into the seat. 2nd to 3rd is a bit less stout
but you know it, and 3rd to 4th/OD is fine. I also installed
B&M's TV valve cylinder which allows for the 4th gear to
stay the further I step on the gas. It used to kick down to 3rd
around 1/2 throttle, not it's around 2/3rds throttle..

Getting the TV cable adjusted once you install the kit, at least
on the 700r4's is the critical part. Very important !

I'll also add that I'm glad I went with the RV option and not the
street/strip option. I'd be breaking tires loose all the time in
1st to 2nd. It does it now if I get on it. I'll say it does hook up
MUCH quicker than stock..

The REAL secret to tranny life is
a GOOD cooler system..It's been run to death in another
thread here, but it's the truth and thanks to Mike Campbell
who gave me some tips and advise, mine should be done
by next week this time..
