there is all wheel drive s10s and bravfadas 94-97, right?

would it be possible to take the transfer case off one of those and put it on my 4wd s10 and make it awd?

i know people have done it with earlier gen s10s, but has anyone done or thought about doing on a later model?

You can do it just as easily on the newer ones. The 1st and 2nd gen S10's basically have the same frame with the exception of the 2nd gens having a full box frame where the 1st gens have the weaker c channel frames. You can pull the transfer case from a Bravada, Astro AWD, Typhoon, or Syclone and put it in. You will also want to rob the front drive shaft as it has a CV type joint to be more suited for continuous duty. The trans crossmember is different on the AWD's, too. If you need any help, let me know as I am currently building an AWD 88 Blazer with :evilg: under the hood. Sorry, you have to wait until it's done to see what is in there.
