I will be ordering all my stuff for my system tomorrow so I'm making a list of EVERYTHING that I will need. I need some help from you. Bring to my attention any things that should be on the list or problems with the box design (I had heard to not use smaller than a 3" port and I'm using a 2.75" port).

Sub-Adire Audio Brahma 12" Mark II- Acoustic Visions-$379

Amp-Hifonics Brutus BX1000D- Ike Sound- $239

Wiring Kit-0/1 Gauge Audio Pipe Wiring Kit-$55

Wire Gauge Adapters- Lightning Audio RA14 Wire Gauge Adapters-$14.00 for 2
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/LITRA14

Speaker Wire- StreetWires 12-gauge Ultra Cable® Speaker Wire-$.80 per foot.

The box will be built by me and I'm not including the materials for it in the list. It will be 1.75 cu. ft. at 25Hz with a 2.75in. circular port. It's dimensions are 17Wx17Hx15.5D and the port will be 12.5" long. The port will be on top of the box. The wire gauge adapters are to make the 0/1 gauge wire fit into the 4-gauge inputs on the amp. How many feet of speaker wire will I need?

The volume and tuning are straight from Adire, even the amp. I was going to get a BX1500D but they said that 800-1000W would push the Brahma to full output in the ported box they suggested (1.75 cu.ft. at 25 Hz). I am going to e-mail them right now, however they are typically a little slow on replies, and that is why I asked here.

I designed mine in Autodesk Inventor, so I have a 3-D representation of the box and also I made a blueprint off of the drawing of the box. So, everything is completely laid out for my dad and I to make, given that everything is right. :D I highly recommend Autodesk Inventor to anyone who builds boxes. It's a powerful enginneering program not designed for box building, but works wonderfully for. I also designed the Adire logo which I am going to mill out of aluminum at my school and put on the box. :D

i wouldnt go with any less than 30 in2 of port...2.75" diameter is not near enough. 30" is roughly 4 3" pipes, but its easiest just to do a slot port.
