I passed through there few weeks ago. It's been a while since I went. Any place you recommend for Sonoran Dog as well as general good food.

Absolutely! I'm on the east side, so all my recommendations come from there.

Sonoran dog - Taqueria Y Raspados Jason. It's a semi permanent food truck. 6041 E 22nd St, Tucson, AZ 85711

General mexican - Poco and moms. I like the Machaca tacos. Comes with a side of beans and rice. Simple, clean, good. 2 locations. Either is good.

If you're on I-10 south of Tucson and just want something quick, Papa Loco's. It's a sit down or take out place connected to the Conoco gas station. Do not be fooled... Although it is connected to a gas station, the food is really good. They make a decent Sonoran dog as well.

All local, all family owned.
