Anybody there?

Yes. It is sad but true. This area is a bit "thin". That just means
we SS owners are special...

My Stats

So Far...Removed airbox, replaced with open element K&N. Removed stock exhaust from the converter on back and had a
custom system bent from 3" pipe. Muffler is called a ThunderJet.
Previous owner installed a chip, but I don't know who made it or what it is. Truck was lowered with spindles only 2" in front. Out
back I went 3" with drop springs and Edelbrock Performer IAS
shocks. The last mod was 3 weeks ago. I finally scored some ZQ8
hoops and new tires. Also I have a Black Magic electric fan from
Flexalite.

The Fan

You can feel the power increase... My only concern was the auto
thermostat feature. I did the install according to the instructions
and found that the fan came on uncomfortably late. So I wired
mine to a metal toggle switch for manual control. The specs say
the fan is good up to 260hp without A.C. or 220hp with A.C.
On hot days, high 80's or above, with the air on and sitting still
it gets warm 210-215. Once you are rolling 25mph or more it is
ok. Hence I think my truck is around the 220hp range. SWEET!
Or you could try a flex fan. They are way cheaper. No wiring hassles. They cool just fine. I put one on my Dad's 91 S-10. Just get one for a serpentine belt. They spin the opposite direction of
a standard model.
