I need to know what 60ft you guys get and what the setup is...
I have the caltracs and carrera shocks up front, rancho adj in back and the bars are in the top hole.

I have tried 1.5 turns preload to 2.5 and changed shock setting up and down and I can't leave on the t-brake, (up in smoke), it leaves ok on the foot brake with a 1.48-52 60ft. I have tried different tire press, changed it to the bottom hole, chiped the engine down on starting line, and nothing matters.

I run a 28x11.5 et street. Help please.

What gear and converter are you running?

I'm running Slide-a-links,can't be as good as Caltracs.
4.11 gear
4500 stall
CE 90/10 shocks up front
Rancho 9000 rear
30x12.5 ET Street
1.41 60' best
1.50 on the motor with the transbrake set at 3600

I've left the line on a 325 shot w/very little spin
Only time I killed the tires is when I stalled agianst the converter w/a 175 shot.BLEW THEM AWAY!

I think you need more tire if the gear will let you.

I run a 3.70 gear, and the convertor is from PTC and they built it for my truck. It goes to 5800 on the brake, but I have a 2 step and have it set at 4000 for the brake.

Can you send me a pic of your truck with those tires on it?
What size rim? I have a 8" rim now but I would rather not buy any more wheels.

15x10 welds 4 1/2 or 5" back space
If you go to dragtruk.com you can see how they fit #21
Is there any way to lose some boost on the bottom end?

it is lower boost on the bottom, but I don't think there is anyway to get rid of more of it with sacraficing the top end.

I have alot of potential with this truck, I want the 60ft down to where yours is.

Short bed or long,mines long
Did you tie your cage to the frame?I goofed my bars landed on the body mounts,so I used the plates attatched it to the floor board and put in solid body mounts. Now I've got to change it to get it certified.

Have you talked to anyone at Caltracs?

It worked,it looks nice.
Where's your battery?
pinion angle? I'm at -6 degrees
fuel cell? I put mine under the bed where the spare tire was.
Weight? 3250 w/me
I also took 1 turn off the front coils 2" drop
Removed the helper spring on the rear and 2" blocks

battery is in the bed passenger corner, as is the 5 gal fuel cell it is in the middle at the end of the bed.

pinion angle depends on how much preload I put in the bars, with no preload it is -5

it weighs 3000 w/me

I am glad you said how much you cut off the front coils, I wanted to drop mine down 2". You cut a full coil right 360 degrees from the end?

I have the helper spring and the next spring removed.

I wonder if I don't have enuf front end drop on take off, it sits up about 1" off the top stop.

Yes I cut right below where the top winding ends.Put the cut end up when you reinstall. If you don't get the rear down it may be worse.

I do have a problem with chassis twist.Does yours leave level?

BTW I saw your truck on another site a few days ago "old west racing"I think.

The radial cars pull out timing at the start.I don't know if this will work for you.

it used to twist bad, I took the front sway bar and bent it in so it would be more narrow and made it fit the rear. It mounts to the crossmember just ahead of the rearend and the end links go down just on the inside of the spring perches.
