When I am cruising at about 70 mph and want to pass and overtake someone, or when I am on a steady grade, it seems as though I have to punch it in order to hit the passing gear. And then sometimes I throttle too much and it shifts down twice and end up tacking close to 5 g's. Because of this my gas milage sux. Any thoughts on this? Will taking out the restrictor plate on the throttle body butterfly do anything?
