Uh, yes/no. Some of the Disc/Drum masters have a stepped bore for the rear drums to allow faster take-up since drums use twice the fluid at half the pressure. Not 100% on the 1st gen's though. If you do need a swap, a 2nd gen disc-disc blazer/jimmy master from rockauto or summit or your local parts store would work. You'll need a prop valve though. Lots of guys use the Wilwood stand alone proportioning valve.

I may be wrong, so someone can feel free to correct me.

They cost less than a Holley LS Corvette front drive setup and will pay dividends for years to come.
I like being able to raise or lower it small amounts so I'm not bending over as much while working on things.
While starting to remove my 4.3 today, I must have raised and lowered it a dozen times.
Like removing the inner fender bolts. I didn't have to get on my knees (which are shot) and could raise or lower it to the exact height comfortable for each bolt.
One caution. You will bump your head a few time the first month or so.
You can also multi task in your shop area.
When replacing the choke cable on my zero turn mower I just ran it all the way up and worked under the S10.
Unfortunately the garage I have now isn't high enough, like my old garage was...

I think that's the first time I've seen a V8 sitting where it should in a truck... not sticking 1/2 way out in front of the wheels, lol.
