I have a OEM 80Amp rite now.I need a 200+ because I have a huge system 612's and its killin my headlights when i start my truck the battery gauge will drop dwon to about 9 volts and lits will dim on and off and the truck will hesitate.This is all at idle.My question is how much for a 200Amp and what kind to get to help out my stereo.I have a yellow top and a Stnger Gold series cap 1 farad.Thanks cuz im :shrug: on what to do.

How many amps are you running?

You can get alternators for about $300 - $1400 depending on how good quality you want and how big. Another option you can think about is getting extra batteries and set up a turbo timer (n/a turbo timer) to where you park turn you radio off and your batteries charge for a few minutes.

Try www.alternatorparts.com they have 200 amp alt. for 270.with all my acces. going I'm getting 12.2 volts with stereo off. After xmas,thats my next upgrade. Good luck
