Well by some act of god, I've conviced the rents to get me a 200amp Alternator for christmas. I can't decide if I want to go with a plain alternator from www.4alterstart.com or I could get a powdercoated 200 amp one from www.mralternator.com .

Both of them would end up being the same price and I'd probably get a black powdercoat.

Any suggestions??

In my experience, if you get the Alterstart one, don't get the CS130 - get the 200 amp 144 with the wiring adapter. Mine tested out at like 215. Then I had to have the bearings replaced and it made about 226. My brother had a 144 built up at a local shop that cost less money, put out the same power, and didn't need to be shipped if it ever had a problem. You might want to go that route. Just my $.02
