I have a 87 S10 Blazer with a 350, over the winter I moved the alternator down on the passenger side, I had to put a new alternator on because mine was the larger case alternator and wouldn't fit in my brackets. I purchased a new belt as well..

Now I'm having issues with the belt slipping the belt appears to be tight..

My thoughts are the pulley is too smooth and letting it slip under load..

Anyone have any suggestions.

Kind of extreme, but you could convert it to a serpentine system.

back in the old days, we'd rub bar soap on the belt. It stops the squealing. But, if you think the pulley is to smooth, sand it, rough it up.
Sometimes, a squeaky belt just needs replaced with a new one.
