I hit ice and went into a ditch, the airbags didn't deploy, but there is a block with a yellow connector that looks like it fell off the frame on the passenger side, it is dangling free right now, what should i do to fix this?
would it deploy the airbags if i disconnect it?

it will disable the system if you disconnect
that has got to be the freakiest thing ever to knock the sensor off the frame and airbags not deploy.
disconnect the battery, touch battery cables together to bleed any capacitance and remount the sensor
using other side as a guide. if the ears are broken find a good replacement(take a battery drill with you to drill out the rivets).

Pics? Use caution when working with air bags. After battery is unhooked, let it sit for at least 30 minutes before you do anything to it. A damaged sensor can be hard to predict. Is the SIR light on? If you buy a used sensor, make sure the part number matches.
