I have a question about air shocks. I am thinking of installing them on my 89 s10 blazer 4x4 4.3. What do you think? I need to raise my truck alittle due to sagging, and I am going to put an add-a-leaf on. I do some off roading, I love playing in the mud. How will they perform? I need new shocks anyways. only 53 bucks from advance auto parts here in NY. for Monroe max-air shocks, comes with a kit with a pair of shocks and a hose to be able to remotely adjust. thanks!

As far as the airshocks go your gonna notice they are real bouncy. A freind of mine tried the same thing and the ride off road was enough to make ya wanna puke...As far as the add a leaves go...All they do on a vehicle that isnt towing is make it ride like a skayeboard...Hope this helps. Why not just buy a set of replacement leaves. or have a spring shop replace them for ya.

I had the same sag problem w/mine. put in shackles & those did the trick but it's a little unruly in the corners now. you could also have the springs re-arched.
I don't know if you have the cash but the Edel IAS shocks are great but at $80 each. also looked into these www.activesuspension.com and decided to get them. I do alittle towing and alot af camping w/truck loaded so these seemed like a good compromise.
