I just read the very long but infomative pinned thread "How to high output ad244 alternator for $80" and had a question. I have a 2002 Sonoma 4.3 vin W, 4WD. I currently have a new AC Delco CS130 alternator installed as I don't have any extra accessories added to the vehicle at this time. In the future I plan to add a winch and also some fog lamps.
My question is, will switching to the AD244 affect how the ECM communicates with the alternator compared to the stock CS130 unit? Just wondering if anyone has experienced the flashing battery lamp issue in the dash after switching over to the AD244 from the CS130. Will the ECM still see the same 5V reference from the AD244 unit?
Thanks everybody.
