Hello everyone ..question for you ...My AC keeps shutting off ..after looking over the system and cleaning all connectors ..even in the dash ..it still kept shutting off ..well i narrowed it down to the connector on the high pressure switch ..when you wiggle the wire it turns back on , when you close the hood and jump back into the truck the compressor is already off ..well i removed the connector and installed a jumper ..and now my ac is just great ..my question is ..Do i have to worry about the pressure ..??? will this damage anything ???Is the pressure in the system to high ???..or should i just leave it alone bypassing the switch ????      :D

You need to replace the pressure switch or theres a short in the connector. The switch shuts off the compressor clutch when the pressure is too high or too low.

Yes I would recomend you replace the sensor it is there to make the system cycle and keep the ac system from freezing up.
