My ABS light started staying on after start up. It goes away after driving for different amounts of time. When it's going off the regular parking brake light flashes once. Anyone have any idea what is happening?

The Brake light is not only to tell you when the parking brake is set, but is multitasks as a brake system failure light as well. If you are getting both the ABS light and the brake light coming on it is almost always the ABS module that is acting up. The board at the top of the module has been a continuous problem on S10's. The solder joints get cracks from vibration and need to be resoldered. You Tube has plenty of videos on how to do the soldering yourself. Most guys need 2 tries to get it fixed because the cracks are tiny and hard to see. You can also look on ebay for companies that will repair the board for you and guarantee it. You can drive the truck with the board removed, w/o ABS.

Thanks for the info. Where is this board located? I'm guessing new boards are not available?
