Was wondering what I would need to get XM radio activated on my HU. Antenna, Radio Reciever? Thanx for the help.

Damn, the receiver for the HU is $249 yet the receiver for the Pioneer HU is only $149. Whats up with that. Would I be able to get another reciever or do I have to get the reciever made for my HU?

You have to get the Alpine one. Check ebay. I found some on sale at a local shop a while ago.

If you want to use the direct connection way of using xm (by having xm show up as a direct source on your radio), then you need to get the alpine tuner box and antenna. It sould work with any alpine ainet radios. If you dont care about direct connection, you can get an rf modulated pioneer unit, which the xm stations would play on a radio station, say 88.9. You lose a little sound quality, but it still sounds decent. If your looking for a cheap rf modulated setup, I have a few used pioneer units here.
