I replaced mine for safety's sake with a Walbro high pressure pump a year ago. Going lean with 15 pounds of boost is a bad thing.

Sad thing is that I have only had my truck about 8 or 9 months.

on my 2nd fuel pump now...

I just installed a new fuel pump last fall, which is the second one for this truck so far. They're electric and mechanical, so that's two reasons to fail. I managed to get around 40,000 mi out of the last one, so I don't complain. My only fuel system trouble is the intermittent sending unit. It works when it wants to.

With Fuel pumps on the 4.3's you will waste your money replacing fuelpumps unless you replace the sending unit aswell.
Dont ask me why but i went through 4 fuel pumps... then changed the fuel pump and sending unit again and havent had a problem since... that was about 9 months ago

YUP!!!$325...that's from a dealer with a 10% discount, but you might want to check like Pep Boys or O'riley's and places like that cause they can often times sell you the same AC Delco part cheaper than the dealer can buy it!!!
