hey guys i got an 81 jeep cj5 with a 4.3 vortec in it...the guy said the motor was out of a 92 camaro which is bullshit cuz camaros never had 4.3s so how do i find out which kind of 4.3 it is (they put a carburator on it by the way to avoid messing with the computer) also i guess my headgasket is blown cuz my radiator keeps goin dry and its not leakin...but it seems to be running fine - i guess thats it anyways - i have the haynes manual for a 94 s-10 4.3 but will that apply to my engine if it looks totally different??

If you can post some pictures, we may be able to help you that way...beyond that I don't know.

If your head was blown, you'd have milky crap on your oil, so check your dipstick.

ya i checked the oil first thing and i was at an auto shop and i told them about it and how my oil looked fine and he said it could still be blown and just burnin the coolant right out the exhaust
or some shit like that
