My guess would be that the clip inside the shaft that holds it on to the splines of the t-case would break under droop out, causing the shaft to fall out.

how did the locker work out?
The spartan locker is working excellent thus far - great when I went wheeling, and even better on the street now that my rear isn't welded. Thanks for hooking me up, Joey!

I had a little problem with that driveshaft because the u-joint on the tcase end cannot handle very much anlge. I just had a friend build me up a driveshaft out of the synergy one, but we used part of a toyota driveshaft because it could handle the higher angles. I have had zero trouble with the driveshaft slipping off the tcase yoke. It is actually pretty difficult to knock it off with that little snap ring in there. I would suggest using the stock slip to go on the tcase and build your driveshaft from there - that is if you do not want to do the SYE for your tcase. If I had a stock front driveshaft laying around I would have done that from the very start.

When I have my blazer on a hoist at full droop, there is still a good inch of slip in the slip yoke, but when you hit it hard on the trails, the leafs shift back and forth, and in my occasion, it was enough to pull my driveshaft out. My plan is just to get a limiting strap so my axle can only droop so far and so the driveshaft cannot pull out again. Otherwise, you could just make a square tube shaft that would work fine.
Thanks for reading my book :haha:

Dude where the heck where you wheelin at?! I want to go there!! I really need to finish my build! I don't have that much to do really, just need the time/motivation and I need it to stay cool out. I'm pushing back trail date on the truck to spring so I have enough time to build it right and not rush it.

We were on some awesome private trails on a friend's land near south haven. It was very intense back there and the guys were all pushing me to hit it a lot harder than I did - granted they had all trailered their rigs there and I had to drive mine home.

A little bump on my junk:
I built some sliders and painted my wheels black since I had last posted on here...over a month ago. Oh yes, and I removed my lights on my safari rack and used a piece of vinyl siding to make a "wind deflector" for 10+ extra mpg's, 5 more hp, and .5s off my 1/4 mile time. Or...just to fill that empty space. ENJOY!

lol. Unfortunately not. Its been setting in my drive way taunting me. All that damage was done when it was IFS. I got a feeling it will get a heck of a lot worse when i start offroading it now!

Just a blue fullsize chevy pickup, both my s10's are sitting right now. Doing some research on SAS for one of my other fullsizes but my buddies want me to do my blazer to look like yours, lol.
Awesome!
Don't make it look too similar though...there's a guy almost "copying" my blazer right now, other than the fact that it is a 2 door, so I don't want 2 clones...

I absolutely love this truck!!! How did you chance the gearing? Just by swapping axels or did you change the ring and pinion? Also did you ever rub on the top of your fenders wheeling with ifs?
