how did the locker work out?
The spartan locker is working excellent thus far - great when I went wheeling, and even better on the street now that my rear isn't welded. Thanks for hooking me up, Joey!
i liked that drive shaft u have but on their wedsite it said not for sas.......is that why its not for sas since it fell out in one of ur pictures?
I had a little problem with that driveshaft because the u-joint on the tcase end cannot handle very much anlge. I just had a friend build me up a driveshaft out of the synergy one, but we used part of a toyota driveshaft because it could handle the higher angles. I have had zero trouble with the driveshaft slipping off the tcase yoke. It is actually pretty difficult to knock it off with that little snap ring in there. I would suggest using the stock slip to go on the tcase and build your driveshaft from there - that is if you do not want to do the SYE for your tcase. If I had a stock front driveshaft laying around I would have done that from the very start.
When I have my blazer on a hoist at full droop, there is still a good inch of slip in the slip yoke, but when you hit it hard on the trails, the leafs shift back and forth, and in my occasion, it was enough to pull my driveshaft out. My plan is just to get a limiting strap so my axle can only droop so far and so the driveshaft cannot pull out again. Otherwise, you could just make a square tube shaft that would work fine.
Thanks for reading my book :haha:
