Hi I have a 98 s10 that I but a 03 steering column in but now it acts like it doesn't have power one plug had to be changed but other than that it was plug and play on the install

That's what happens when you use the wrong part and start trying DIY wiring. I could spend a couple hours looking at wiring diagrams and probably figure out a way to do it, but you should be the one doing that. Contrary to popular belief, all S10's are not the same. Some times not even within the same year. 98 has and early and late electrical system. Does your SPID sticker have the code ZN4?

id fix the 98 column and put it back in, youll probably never get it to work right. ever.
