I have a 95 s10 extended cab 2.4Liter engine with only 97,000 miles on it and my sevice engine soon light is on, can anyone tell me how to tell me how tp figure out why it's on cuz truck doesn't have a scanner hookup that I can find, so can anybody tell me how to troubleshoot the vehicle and figure out why the service engine soon light is on? Thanks

You don't need a scanner, look up gm obd flash codes on youtube.

I cant seem to find the obd1 plug in my truck it should be under the dashboard on drivers side but there isn't a plug nowhere, is it possible that isn't one installed on a 95 s10 with a 2.2 liter?

It looks like an obd2 plug on a 95, but the idea is the same. If I remember right, it's pins 6-7 or 7-8 that you want to jump. There's 2 pins right next to each other on the top row, right side.

there are wires in #'s 3, 4,&5 & in #'s 9, 12 & 16
