Does anyone know if a 94 4.3 L guage w/ tach would work on my 2.2 L? It is from an automatic and I have stick, but I would be willing to ignore the automatic symbols and lose the shift light if the tach and the speedometer would work. Also it goes up to 100 MPH and mine only goes to 85, would the electronics still tell it my actual speed or would I drive it nuts? Thanks,
IT might work but i highly doubt it will. There are two universal wiring harnes behing the gauges. one for manuals and one for auto. Now if you found a manual gauge panel it would work fine.
yeah that is true...but you stillhave to think what is the computer set up for also...not sure how the computers are set up , model to model and options
The 94-97 trucks didn't have the digital gauges, at least none that I've seen have, so important stuff like the mileage isn't stored in a computer, and can be easily turned by hand to the current mileage.
whatever computer you use has no effect on the spedo display or digital mileage for that matter either on s10's. the mileage is stored in a chip in the dash itself.
but since you are talkin a 94 to a 94 for dashes they are completely interchangable with no problems except the tach will read real high. I do not know if it is an easy fix like the ones for the 1st gen's wich all you had to do was change a capasitor. but it will fit and work just not completely right.
