I never had any problems with my IFS till i blew the front end on the hill climb, so no better time then the present for a change....

It's actually parked right next to Chevtech's S-ton
and were both in the middle of our builds:rock:
you should use a longer rear shackle, the stock ones likes to bottom out on the frame.
He's going to get some longer rear springs and make some 8" long (eye to eye) shackles.
almost got my front axle button'd up... painted my front diff cover till i can get a HD one...

just waiting to decide on which leafs to use on the front
going to use stock rears flipped and 7" perches with a 2nd pin mount 1.5" from center on the perch.
should clear 37"s (rear shackles will be rougly 8" I2I)

I went with Rancho 44044's this time around. I haven't got the chance to drive it yet, so I dont know how Im gonna like them. But ALOT of people run them and I haven't heard a complaint yet. They seem to flex very good too.
i got the 44044 springs as well cant wait to get my parts and start
just looked up a set of 84-01 Jeep Cherokee Leafs that are
23 x 28-5/8" which should work out pretty good!
should kick the axle forward abit
Are you looking for new springs or are you just throwing some j-yard springs under it????
Heres a good site for leaf spring info. Just use the drop down menu on the left

http://www.generalspringkc.com/index.php

I liked my long springs on the front. They flexed real good. But theres just to much spring behind the tire. I was always getting hung up on my shackles. Thats the reason I switched to the 44044's. They're only 47" long.

nope. wayyyyyy to soft. they will reverse arch right away. tried them.
I read about making a bastard leaf spring pack out of a cherokee main leaf and s10 rear pack, just cutting the eyes off of the s10 main leaf and bolting it all together, do you think that would work?
i run

XJ main, fullsize chevy with eye cut off, and the bottom two out of a ZR2 pack...

they ride about flat, droop well, and reverse arch in a flex.
Thanks! I think we'll build something similar for this.
