I have a 1992 S 10. 2.8 v6 5 speed manual i want to do a 350 swap.I want to keep it a 5 speed manual with out relocating the shifter hole and keeping the bench seat is this possible.What is the simplest way to do it and which transmission is going to hold up to the 350.All input is appreciated feel free to chime in...Thanks in advance

The 93 1st gen S10 had an available NV3500 that should work with both your engine and seat.
A rebuilt can be had for $1600 or you could find one used. Supposedly the 93-95 truck and Blazer NV3500's are all the same.
If you go with a used one be sure it's not from a C/K truck as those have a granny gear 1st gear which would be useless in a 350 S10.
There are many NV3500 350 S10's around. How well they hold up is primarily a function of how hard they're driven.

I used the nv3500 with mine. When you have to modify the transmission bracket make sure you measure twice or your shifter might end up crooked. Also look at different towers. My stick hit the dash until I replaced it with a different stock tower

Does your hand hit the automatic transmission dipstick in the picture?
Or is that some sort of weird drill bit?
