Go to www.summitracing.com and buy a Summit fully welded turbo muffler- make sure its the size of your pipe and have it welded on. Best muffler for the money. Outflows flowmaster and stay away from glass packs. Very bad for the engine to much restriction from the baffles. How do I know? I am 59 and have been working on vehicles since I was 14, including race cars and mud trucks.

Disagree w/markinnh wrt glass packs. Ran a Thrush glass pack on my 68 Rambler for 100k miles....never had engine damage. Currently running Cherry Bomb glass pack on my 02 S10 4.3L....no problems....

May not be what you want, but glass packs do not cause engine damage.....

I guess straight pipe would be louder, but sort of agree with the consensus....the cool sound you seek is probably not forthcoming from a stock V6. You will need to modify via cam and or cylinder heads. V8 would be better still.....

Impress the 10th grade girls...
Rhotpursuit is correct.....the droning sound of my stock V6 through the Cherry Bomb glass pack is a come-hither call for the 10th grade girls, and they do come running!

But when they see my face, they do a 180 and run twice as fast the other way....Can't figure it out!?!

Touched a nerve did we..
Ya.
Mite have. That being what it might be , just break out pipe cutting instrument of choice and Touch it to Exhaust Header pipe just ahead of muzzler inlet and install exhaust cutout. Some permit partial opening, allowing owner to 'tune' favored audio level. Best of both worlds, eh.
