i have a s10 i just went bigger with my 350 engine... bigger cam and flat top pistons... so when i put it back in the truck had hard brakes... went to race shop guy said change to manual brakes he ordered me a kit with mounting and master cylinder... put it on and still hard brakes anyone had this prom.....

Hmm. Did you mabey mash the line that runs along the cross member under the engine during the install? I could see low vacuum making the brakes stiff, but going manual should have been the end of that.

My cam is 230 @ .050 and had 6” of vacuum before I got it running right. I never had a problem with the brakes so I’d second the previous response

It has had the 350 in it for 16 years with no brake problems... when put the new cam, piston and heads, brake pedal was hard as a brick no line are broken or pinch its truly got us at a lose
