I live in New England and it’s starting to get cold. My truck starts right up on cold start but if you give it any gas/load it bogs out. After it warms up a bit, 5 minutes it runs fine. Ideas?

And only does it when it’s cold. Summertime never gave me any issues

There is a 2 wire temperature sensor next to the thermostat housing that is easy to replace and tells the ECU the engine temp.
Try replacing that and make sure the connector is in good condition. I have had to replace the connector on a few different Duke powered S10s. I think the sensor is about $15 IIRC
I don't know why they fry...
