So what do you guys do to your 2.8 (3.1?) V6 to get more power out of it? Just wondering if there is as much of a following for the RWD versions as there are for the FWD.

The fwd versions are in cavaliers. For fast free horsepower I flipped the lid on my Air filter. It gained a good 5-10 hp and makes and awsome howling sound.

I just added a k&n drop-in filter, and ran a "forced-air" tube from the front valance to the stock cleaner housing for a direct flow of air. I could tell some difference right away too. It's no longer sluggish, and more responsive. I also added an ACCEL super coil for better spark.

Yeah it is one of the secret perfomace mod's that nobody wants to tell ya about

Actually they do. they sell almost any reman block you want in either short or long forms.

I used it as trade in on my 4.3

Heh...why not just go V8 if you are going to swap the motor? You already have RWD, plenty of room...

At the moment I cannot afford the v8 I want in it and the stuff to relocate my drivetrain back bout an inch
