you only need to look at ones that came with
a 4.3 or larger engine. these all have 30 spline
input shafts.
the LSx engined models have different bellhousings.

the ones from 3.8 and smaller engines had
27 spline input shafts and again different bellhousings.

and some chassis models such as the F-bodies can have
variations in tailshaft design.

ideally, you should look for one from a pre-96 4.3,
or basically any model year 5.0, or 5.7L truck.
these have the integral belhousings, which would
be the most practical fit to your TBI engine...

700r4 only had 27 spline in 1982 to 1984 and 1/2

after 84 and 1/2 they are 30 spline inputs

2.2L and 4.3L are totally different bellhousing pattern wont interchange anyways

2.2L = 60 degree pattern like the 2.5 2.8 3.1 3.4 etc

4.3L is v-8 and straight six pattern 90 degrees, also RWD 3.8L and 200ci v6 engines

the 700's and 4L60's used with the 3800 and smaller engines
stayed with the 27 spline input shafts.
only the 4.3 and larger engine models went 30 spline...
