Hello all,
I am brand new to this forum and in a couple hours will begin my odyssey of placing the body of a 41 pickup on the chassis of a 1994 S10.
My donor truck is a 1994 S10 ext cab 4wd with the 4.3L V6 and a manual transmission. It is in pretty sorry shape (super ugly and serious clutch and transmission issues) but the engine is strong and the frame is in great shape. It is a Southern California car so no significant rust to worry about.
I will be using a kit from EZswaps for the swap and more or less figuring it out as I go. I will be doing all the work in my home garage which has everything I need except a lift.
I am open to suggestions and am not above taking the advice of people that know way more than me about these types of things.
I will get some pics up as I make some progress.

I am open to suggestions
the only suggestion i have for you is throw the 1994 in the trash and find a 1998+ s10.
you cant tune a 94/5/6/7--and since your putting a cool truck body on it, youre probably going to want to be able to tune the thing to work.
plus 94 or 94 is a one year only computer system.
find a later model donor, youll be happier you did

you should look-up joedoh on 67-72chevytrucks.com. he was on here quite awhile back but not lately. he's an expert at dropping 1940ish truck bodies on s10 frames. I think his last one was named Wamego, 1949 GMC. good luck with your project.

Here are a few photos of the donor getting ripped apart.

Nothing crazy about this part of the job.
Thank you all for the info.
Joedoh will be a great resource for me moving forward.
The ‘41 is actually my dad’s and I don’t have it collocated with me right now so no pics of it for a while.

Who would have thought that there would be so many wires under the dash of an old truck?!

Lots of progress.

As expected pretty much every tie rod end, ball joint, oil seal, and bushing in this truck is in need of replacement.

I ordered parts for rebuilding the power steering gear, transfer case, and all suspension components.

Calamity struck with the rear axle while attempting to replace the wheel seals. The pinion retaining pin locking bolt was broken! Nightmare getting that out.

The frame was also slightly bent upward on the drivers side rear. It was cleverly hidden by having two different sized leaf springs. Lucky for me my buddy has a frame straightener at his truck shop so I was able to salvage my project.
