Ok my 98 xcab is a daily driver but i wanna bag it i was thinkin about just doin a bolt on 3 or 4 link but me being a college student i cant afford that and realized a weld on 4 link will be cheaper and i have someone who will weld everythign for me now do i have to relocate my gas tank if i use triangulated 4 link or is there a better type of 4 link or link setup out there for me thats cheap and any pix of setups would be cool :dunno:

Triangulated

is the most common 4 link set up on the S10's. Some ppl have had to modify the gas tank, ie, bash it in, relocate. Some ppl have not had to.

The Air Ride Technologies Triangulated 4 link is very nice. A little mallet on the gas tank would take care of any problem u may or may not have with the upper bars.

The Air Ride Tech is $350 without bags or $630 with bags and mounts. Its a nice set up.

I can get pretty well any 4 link out there so I can give other prices. I wouldn't worry too much about the gas tank. Not everyone seems to have the problem.


Other then that, I can do an Air Ride Tech bolt on 4 link for around $895.00 on the upper end of the spectrum.

Let me know if u have an specific questions and I can anwser some more.

i was thinkin about gettin the fbi mini 4 link setup but im not positive yet im looking for a cheap way to bag the rear of my truck without mono leafs it doesn matter bolt on or weld on i just dont have a big budget here

hey jeff, you can get the air ride 4link for 350? is that a bolt in or weld in? what does it come with, could you send me to a link maybe or something? im currently bagged/stepnotched with my bags mounted over the axle running a monoleaf and 3 inch blocks, it works but the ride is just "ok". but yeah all i want is just a simple 4 link ,without bag mounts, i can install in my driveway. (dont know how to weld yet....or even have a welder) also as it is right now my freakin driveshaft hits the cab like crazy, you think 4 linking it will help that at all, ok i think thats it, thanks

The Air Ride Triangulated 4 link is the 4 link, hardware and instructions, straight from Air Ride Tech, $350.00. If you wanted the bolt in, I can do that for $895.00 but thats the whole kit, bags, bars, mounts, everything. U can't get the bolt on kits seperate, only as a package.

instead of bashing in the gas tank or relocating it why dont you just get a triangulated 4 link then mount it reverse that will keep form messing with the gas tank

Hey man, a 3-link sounds to be your best bet. Won't have to relocate gas tank and works great on s-dimes. A four-link is fine but not necessary and I definitely would not do a reverse four-link on something that is daily driven. Peace

I wouldn't run a reverse 3 link. I know ppl do but they still aren't the mose ideal.

damn, 350 is the weld in? hmmmmmm i can solder really well? hahahaha .... does anyone know if ANYONE makes a bolt in 4 link that doesnt have bag mounts?? also can anyone answer my question about if it will releive my driveshaft hitting the cab issue?

Alter Images has a bolt on but it may include bags for $499 I believe, I have to check my pricing on that.

I can't see why your drive shaft hits the cab now? U sure its not a crossmember its hitting? U will be able to set your pinion angle correctly.

I can ask Air Lift if they will sell me just the 3 link and no bags or mounts but I don't think they would.

i dunno if the pinion angle is correct, i would assume no, because im using monos and blocks, but dont get any vibration, my rear tires are kinda tall, 235 45 17s, i put a slightly smaller set of wheels on the back from a friends car to see if it helped, it wasnt AS bad, but it still did it
