Whoa there. The ign module is inside the dist. It sits on a base
close to the dist shaft and has a num of wires plugged into it.
The item up on the firewall is the EST or ESC depending on
what you want to call it. It's one part of the spark knock sensor.
If you decide to do the ign module make sure you disconnect
the NEG side of the battery so as not to spike the new module
when installing. Also clean the base real good and apply the
die-lectric grease on the base and the back of th new module
base so it will be protected from a heat sink. Heat sinks are
a real killer of ign modules.
