Misfire issues
Not bad at idle worse around 1000-1200rpm then smooths out some from there up.
I just want to know where to start with fixing it.

Start by scanning it to see which cylinders are misfiring.

The General spent a lot of money making the ignition system reliable...why mess with success... A lot of aftermarket components, especially plugs, caps, and rotors don't do well. Use what you have un til they fail..then go OEM.

I always go oem when possible. Just seem to be better quality and last longer

For those wondering. Mine ended up being the whole distributor. I did a new distributor with OEM cap and rotor. Went back with new OEM plugs and new wires as well
