Yep. If you go over to this site, and to the 6 cyl forum, a guy
iver there has the skinny on em, and guys who've bought em

yeah i am looking at that site now and noticed the adapters cost $60 plus the price for the actual poly mounts. i think i am going to get them. i have a bad humming noise. had carrier bearing changed three times. 2 ujoints replaced right before the rear axle and have a poly transmission mount. and if the engine mounts don't help, i guess i am going to get new 3" drop leaf springs from belltech and if that doesn't fix it i am going to be focking pissed.
Just asking, but do you have one of those type D/S's that have
CV joints in it . I think there's 5. There's a member here who had
the same issue and he had his replaced with Spicer CV's and
balanced for around 500.00 +.I realize you mentioned u-joints
I just wanted to see if I was reading you right..
And if you have the regular x-cab D/S with the 3 u-joints and
carrier bearing, maybe you just need to have the D/S re-
balanced and timed..Here's a link to a D/S shop out here in
SoCal. They have been around for a LONG time and do killer
work..They have a tips section at the bottom..Maybe you'll
see something that fits your problem. I suppose you have it
shimmed for your drop if you have one. Maybe you need more
of a degree of angle. I know a place out here who sells up
to 6* shims. He and his family run the shop and too have been
here a real long time. I know from hard earned experiance
there's only one kind of u-joint to replace with and
that's Dana/Spicer u-joints. They're not cheap, but the
best stuff very seldom is..HTH's.. Link >

syty guys hate ploy mounts. due to the heat from the turbo. it will melt the poly mount. i have a new set of poly mounts i never put in for my sy. i think im just gonna go ahead and put in solid mounts and be over with the problem. i have a chain on my new stock motor mounts that lasted a whle 2 months. if you dont mind a little vibration go with a solid mount.

oh and i have an 02 ext cab that comes with the five u joint d/s.
i had a shop replace the rear two and they said the others were fine. they returned my shaft balanced and painted black. my truck is a stock ride height xtreme with factory 2" drop. and i do notice i have a lot of wheel hop too.

Boosted Thrills is my older brother, and Yes he is the one who is making the frame pads for the 4.3L 2wd so guys can run the poly mounts. He started making because he was breaking the stock mounts.

solid motor mounts are what they say. they have no absorbent material between the motor or frame. they mostly use them for dragracing. you can look in a Summit or Jegs magazine and get a good picture of them. also when going to solid motor mounts you are suppose to go to a solid transmission mount too.96s10 said:
