I have a 3800 MPFI in my 89 S15 Jimmy with a recently rebuild TH700R4. The truck originally had the 2.8w/5speed stick. What I already know is that this thing is WAY too high geared with my 215R15 tires, but what I don't know is what ratio it probably is, and what I should go to. I'm thinking about finding a rear end in a car with a 3.8L because the turbo 350 isn't very different (gear ratio wise) from the 700R4, but I'm not sure how much that'll help. I'm hoping to find the 'sweet spot' between highway and city mileage, but gear ratios are something I haven't toyed with a whole lot.

Any suggestions would be great!
