Hi guys, to those with 4l60e and 700r4 transmissions will you please share your experience with them? I have a 4l60e and a 700r4 but i can't decide which to use. This tranny will be attached to a sbc 350 5.7

700R4 is simpler and less expensive to do a swap.
The 4L60E has to have some sort of electronic controller. Aftermarket units are available but they add $1000 or so to the project. An aftermarket controller is nice because you can program in your own shift points and adjust how quick and hard (or slow and soft) the trans shifts. Changes are done in the software and only take a few minutes. Changes in the shifting on the 700R4 has to be changed in the valve body.

Depending on what year the 5.7L is, if it came with a 4l60e you just use the harness and correct year transmission. We would need more info on the engine to determine the best choice. Year, modifications, FI or carb, etc.
