Hey guys, I have been trying to find information on this but haven't. I had the plan to run a triangulated 4 link in the rear of my obs, but I would like to keep the stocc gas tank location. So nfamus recommended me there 3 link wishbone setup. My concern is being able to lift side to side, and they said a flex joint in the single end can help with that. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about that. I don't plan on going sideways "all the time" but would like the ability to for when I do!

Wrong site for obs BUT the 3 link will still hit sides, it’ll just flex the rubber bushings. It’s a obs not a Monte Carlo so it’s not like you gonna 3 wheel it lol

use super pivots or Heims if u really trying to 3 wheel it for whatever reason

I know, I would've posted it on the gmt400 forum but I figured I'd get a better response with mini truccers!
Haha yeah I wish I could tho 😅I was just worried about any binding issues, I guess a Johnny joint or something similar can give me a little more play room vs a regular bushing.
As for using the joints would I just need one on the single end of the wishbone?

Yea, At the wishbone would be good for alil extra side action. and if u put em on the lower bars at the axle, for a lot more, make em adjustable. Nfamus bars are fixed length in the kit.

I honestly think it’d be cheaper to replace the rubber bushings if they wear out alil faster cuz heims are kinda noisy and wear fast, super pivots get neglected bcuz they complicated to rebuild, etc.

Is there a reason why you suggest putting them on the lowers at the axle. Keith at nfamus, has recommended for me to get Johnny joints for the front mounts of the wishbone and lower bars. And I wouldn't be doing heims due to the noise and vibration, Johnnys are like a perfect medium I have been told.

Honestly I don’t think it matters but I was thinking the rear bcuz the bag mount is on the bar, And on the frame. that way only the axle has more movement and the bar (bag mount) don’t twist Under the frame.

mounted in the front the axle and link bar would both move more, twisting the bag mount. But that’s probably really extreme, I doubt it moves that much anyway. Also On my s10 the joint is at the front of the wishbone like your drawing but the lower ones are on the axle end And it rides good so it was my first thought.

I’m probably overthinking it. Post up what he says tho

What’s the current wait time On a kit? I plan on ordering another one for my obs truck too, but I want it here by the time I’m ready for it so I need to plan ahead, they usually build to order.

He says that it can be done either way for the lower bars and that due to it being fixed to the axle. in this case, that won't let the bar twist which does make sense. I haven't asked about wait time actually, although I know mine would be made to order due to them having to weld for ends for the flex joints.

Just wondering if this got installed and how do you like it? Never used the johnny joints. Keith is awesome and all powerful haha. Long live Nfamus.
