Has anyone tried to put on a straight axle on a 2wd for a 4x4 conv. When I got my truck I didn't think about it, I got a good price for it. but know I want to lift it and go off road, but don't want to get stuck. I've seen were the 4runner guys do this. Just seeing if anyone has heard of this befor...thanks

Nope...... never heard of such a thing, it would probably cost more to installl the front suspension than a used 94-974WD S-series. If your a good fabricator go for it ! Anything is possible when you try. Oh check around some junkyards and see if they have any 4X4 S10's, it would make the swap cheaper and easier.
