Hey everyone!
Its been too long since I've been on here.
Work has had me tied down bretty hard, and made working on my daily blazer a pain.
But recently I built a brake light bar to mount on the inside of the rear hatch glass.
Let me know what you guys think!
My original plan is to install a sequencer module to it, like the old mercurys
I build the entire housing out of half of a 2'x4' pecan sheet I got a Lowes for $25, and pieced it all together with windshield adhesive. Barbaric, I'm sure
I decided to go with the strip LEDs, because I got 15" on Amazon for $20, and figured it would be one of the easier, cheaper routs to it.
All wired up!
For convenience, and because I didn't know how else to aattach it. So I used double side tape. But here it is just after finishing it, before carpet.
And before I started to install everything, I used a heat gun to bend the housing to the curvature of the glass, sprayed it inside and out with black paint, and wrapped the outside with black carpet
And, of course, the night shot. Running lights
Brake lights (middle lights up for brakes and signals)
And the money shot
I'm afraid I only have a shot of the reverse light in the daytime
In total, I spent about $65 and roughly 2 weeks of planning and building.
And it turned out alright. I'm happy with it, but could probably go back and do a few things different.
Also! I'm adding my recent work on her as of lately, that I need to dump pics of.
3/3 drop on springs and blocks, changing to spindles with 1" springs and 3" drop leafs. (Which, if someone can point me to a place that has them for the 97 4dr 2wd, pleas point me there, I can only seem to find first gens. -_- ) on 205/65/15s. No can shots yet.
(Mine next to buddy's sticker)
As well as "Euro Style" clear headlights, that I popped open, and took the side markers out of, and have a typical led light thst I pick up at the parts store. With 5k 35w hids on lows, build relay harness for hi beam and low beam, quad beam mod.
Nice and bright, exposure value on my phone turned down -1.
Any ways thanks for looking! I know everyone likes picture! Haha
