Hello, I have been trying to find pictures of the spring pocket when installing 2600 dominator bags up front on s10. Can someone please share their pictures so I know how and where to cut my frame? Also, some pictures on how they reinforced the frame to get some strength back after cutting the frame? Thank you for your help.

Here is what I have now, I am afraid to cut more until I see what others have done. My 2500 dominators will fit these but I want to do the 2600's.

I don't have pictures but this is an extremely common install that has been done for over 20 years so I'm sure there are plenty of pictures on here.

I cut past the weld the at the back and then reweld the seam. Trim the sides so you can fit a finger between the bag and frame. Cut the outside until you can see the top of the bag cup. It will be a lot but if it's anywhere near the bag it will cut it because the bag bellows out when inflated. The rear area will need to be cut up very high and almost a 90 degree angle. Once it's all done and tested, I take a piece of 3/8 round bar and weld it all the way along the edge. I've seen the frame crack at the back before so it's always good to reinforce.

youre on the right path..usually cut up higher to clear the bag when aired out. if when you are done cutting to fit the bag, and feel its not strong, weld in supports to make it strong again. post pictures and we can help out where possible

This is the cut and then re-welded. The 2nd picture is where i am going to cut the outside. My Plasma cutter died today after I cut these, just order another and will be able to finish next week I hope. I think the inside where I cut the weld out came out good, the bag fits a lot better now.

It’s a bit of a tedious project, but keep trimming back until you can fit your finger between the bag and the frame. Like avtekk also said, the bag will “balloon” alittle when you inflate it. So I’d throw some air in it and check that also. You’re definitely going down the right path. Just install, check, make a mark, trim, reinstall, repeat.
