If you run the size through a tire calculator, the 255/50r17 is the perfect match to replace a stock 205/75r15, same exact height. 255 is pretty wide for the front, doesn't it rub?

i rub just before full lock, or at full lock really, but how often are you going to turn and overstress your power steering pump. i haven't had any problems with them so far. like i say...you can't really go by those calculators. they said my tire would be over 27'' tall and it is about 26'' even, maybe a hair over. there's someone on here that said their 255/50's were only 25.5'' .....with a 2/3 drop i like them. they are a pretty wide tire for the front though, a lil more weight with the rims too....but my handling has gotten better regardless.

I had 255/50/17 on my old truck. I loved them but they rubbed on the front when i did U-turns. But i loved how wide they were. BTW my truck was stock height.
