if I want to get performace tires for the X I need to get away from the 235/55/16, I have 245/50/16's now, but I cant run them up front with my 2/3 drop....they rub to much...what I found was 225/55/16's and 255/50/16's kumho 712's
but now my thougts are towards are the 225's not being enough meat for the front end during autocrossing, and will they fit and look good on 8" wide wheels.....thanks guys

thanks tony

thanks, I have some rubbing problems with my 245's on the front after the 2/3 drop on my xtreme....the 225's should get me from rubbing under hard turning right?
will 225's be to skinny for autocrossing? thats my only worry, will I lose traction in hard braking and turning....the 235's are just touring tires....so it kinda sucks the step from 245's to 225's

You can run 235/55/16 in front and 255/50/16 in the back with no speedo errors.

You can get Nitto NT-450s or Falken Ziex 502s in both sizes which are way better than the factory Goodyears. I would think 225s would be too small for autocross.

Both are fairly inexpensive.

what options?

235/55/16 are what come on the zq8 equipted trucks origionally I think that they will rub with the 2/3 drop...what is the backspacing on the xtreme wheels/zq8? is it possible to run a small back spacing like in a eagle alloy 212 16x8.....is the back spacing on teh zq8 5" could I run a 4.5 and run any tire I want?
some one answer I need to make a decision to keep from rubbing the flares........

hey guys what about 235/50/16's on the front and 245/50/16 in the rear.....that should work and the 235/50/16's are 1/2 " over all shorter, so that will free up about 1/4" up top and it will free up about 1/4 " width on the outside too....you think that would do it?
