a 235/40-20 or a 270/35-20 won't rub the fenders any more than stock tires (guessing that your stock tires were in the neighborhood of 250/50-16.) But if you give me your stock tire size I can run the numbers for you.

you will need to get rid of the front fenders. maybe even some of the rear fender

4 inch drop on 20s ouch get ready for bent rims.

on the customers cars ive done you will have to get a 245 35 20 tire under there. the 255 35 20 rubs real bad. in rear wont matter. this is wiht a 4 inch drop in front. if your 235 55 16 which are a 26.1 inch tall tire dont rub then the 26.6 inch tall tire of a 245 35 20 will be fine but hte 255 35 20 is 27 inches tall will rub bad. but to let you know the tires will rub on big bumps up front on top of the fenderwells.

front rim size has to be 20x8 with 4.5 bs and the 245 35 20 tire

rear you can have 20x8 with 4.5 bs and 255 35 20 doesnt really matter
