I just picked up some light grey 2019 leather seats for my truck. They have the heated and cooling functions and my goal is to wire in the stock buttons from a silverado. Would you guys have any interest of pictures/instructions on doing the swap? My dad is a machinist so we are going to make some custom brackets. That also leads me to the question of would anyone like to purchase brackets for a silverado seat swap? I’ll add pictures in the next day or two of the seats.

Aren't the seats themselves too tall from the floor? I'd think if you're over 5'6" your head will be on the headliner. Don't think a console will be possible either.

Have fun trying to make them fit inside an S10 first, then, post pics/instructions on how you did it.
they'll be non adjustable by the time you get them 'mounted' as you have to pretty much sit the seat on the floor in order to somewhat fit correctly in an S10.

I still have yet to make a bracket and put power to them but they fit in just fine. Luckily my dad has a 2015 1500 so i was able to measure before going to get them. They are the same exact width and not that much longer. You can move the head rest up but at the full height it will probably touch but i’m fine with that

Pictures are always welcome, I’m sure more than one of us would be interested in seeing the process and how it turns out. What are your plans for ducting to the seat ventilation?
I don’t see any place where they would need a vent. I believe the intake is just at the bottom of the seat so as long as i have enough room i should be fine

There’s a legit fan on the bottom of the seat so I think it pulls in fresh air
sounds like a peltier for cooling... but i googled earlier and i thought it said 2022 silverados used actual refrigerant that was tied into the AC lines... not sure about 19's..

i have a vehicle with peltier cooling seats... its not great. definitely not worth the hassle of a custom install. its only noticeable when ambient temps are like 50-70F. anything north of 70F and you cant even feel it...

try a peltier seat cover first. they work exactly the same way as a peltier seat. my AC was out all summer and i sat on a peltier seat cover all summer and i never even turned it on. it just makes zero difference in 70+ temps...

the other thing to factor in, in my experience, is that you can get some 'odd' smells lingering thru the seat... be sure to get new filters asap, but another thing i did a time or two is shoot some of my good cologne up thru the seat ducting while the fan was on... that at least masked the smells better.
its a lot easier with a cooling cover... since you can pull it out and just replace it with ease.

the reason why its an issue is the leather is perforated to allow air to pass thru. the foam in the seat is high-flow 'open-cell' foam which traps nasty smells... and then the fan pulls from the floor where theres even more nasty smells and dirt... a charcoal seat filter will help fight the smells but they are pricey unless you diy it, which aint too difficult.
