Way overkill for something under 10A. Doesn't look like that connector is rated for it either.
Current Rating is 30A for those terminals. (Aptiv/Delphi) 12110842-L. And Quantum recommends 12 AWG for their 340L fuel pump so I stepped it up to 10 AWG. And I already have a 10 AWG wire running from front to back into a 40 amp relay to run the Quantum fuel pump. That was also recommended by Quantum when I spoke with them. They said to use10 AWG to relay and 12 AWG from relay to fuel pump. When I went to get the wire, they were out of 12 AWG but they had 10 AWG. So instead of waiting for the 12 AWG I went with the 10 AWG. Plus those terminals will not ever see its maximum current rating unless the fuel pump dead shorts and I doubt that will ever happen the fuel pump will more likely just quit.

This time my fuel pump did give me the bird. I am glad I ordered a backup. Should be here in a few days. Then I need to send the old one back to have it warrantied.

Finally pulled my fuel tank today and when I removed the fuel pump the fuel in the tank had a black tint to it. So I drained the fuel and filtered it and it is a fine black powder. That means pretty much only one thing. The vapor canister is failing and coming apart internally and all that carbon dust is going into the tank. So I ordered a new vapor canister and vapor canister solenoid. I'm sure the filter inside the solenoid is probably pretty much disintegrated also it looks original from 2004.

Anything new on this thread?? Cool projects. I was gonna say to check the upper a arms because I installed them backwards one time and it moves the tire back a few inches.
