My '03 5 speed trans is shot with 144000 miles, have purchased 2001 5 speed trans with 96,000 miles. I've looked at the slave cylinder part numbers & the '01 &'03 are not the same, which one should be used on the '01 trans?
First you didn't give a motor size to work with. So I assumed that it is a 4.3L. When you go to Rock Auto they use the same LUK clutch kit part #04153 & a AMS Automotive PS04332 pre-bled clutch/slave kit.My '03 5 speed trans is shot with 144000 miles, have purchased 2001 5 speed trans with 96,000 miles. Thanks Tranzman, yeah i forgot to note my truck has the 2.2 4 cylFirst you didn't give a motor size to work with. So I assumed that it is a 4.3L. When you go to Rock Auto they use the same LUK clutch kit part #04153 & a AMS Automotive PS04332 pre-bled clutch/slave kit.
I might be wrong, but based on that it shouldn't matter.
So to cover my ASSets, I looked at the 2.2L kits too. the LUK clutch kit is the same 04155. The Clutch master/slave show different MFG's so it's not a 100% direct comparison.
Looking at the part #'s for 2003 2.2L/4.3L they share the part # PF9099 pre-bled hydraulic kit
