I have a 2000 Sonoma SLE extended cab 2wd with the 4.3L and auto trans . It has 161,000 miles on it and about 2 weeks ago it started making a high pitched squeak from the drivers front area . I checked the whole suspension and everything looked good . I even sprayed Lithium lubricant spray on all the rubber bushings but no help . Seems to come from the drivers control arms area . Not sure what to try now , I bought it new and always maintained it since new .

Practically always when driving except on smooth straight roads, any type of suspension use will make it squeak and in my garage just pushing on the upper drivers door will make it squeak .

No , everything is stock and untouched .

My two thousand will do the same thing if I don't soak all the bushings down about every six months with either Aero kroil or PB Blaster.
Sometimes it takes 2 soakings and it has not hurt the rubber.

OK, I have a large can of PB blaster and I will soak the crap out of all those bushings Hopefully that will help

I figured all the bushings were just dry rotted and causing the squeak but I don't have the means to tear into it and replace everything.

Should you choose replacement, just get loaded Moog arms.

So this is a follow up and soaking all the bushings with PB Blaster fixed the the problem no more squeaking noise for now .
